Mailing Lists

A simple mailing list can be done using an email client such as Outlook Express. For more advanced purposes you can use a Mailman mailing list hosted on our server. The advantages are:

• Large lists are possible. Many ISPs limit the number of recipients you can send on a single email.
• The list can be administered through a web page, so several people can add and remove names.
• People can automatically subscribe and unsubscribe themselves (if you want).
• You can have mailing lists where all members can post messages to the list, or you can have "announcement-only" lists where only a few people are allowed to post messages.
• Lists can be public so anyone can join, or private so you control who is allowed on the list.
